About Coheed and Cambria
Ten albums in, something changed for Coheed and Cambria. As singer, guitarist, and master storyteller Claudio Sanchez began plotting out the sci-fi-inspired New York prog legends’ latest, The Father of Make Believe, he found himself writing more directly about his life and, especially, his career. Amid the wailing guitars, cracking drums, and Sanchez’ powerful voice — centering listeners throughout moments placid and pinwheeling — Coheed devotees will still find plenty of character work and references to the lore. But if you’re new here, there’s no homework required to feel our host’s hopes, fears, battles, and triumphs. Of course, you may get drawn in anyway. Coheed — which includes Travis Stever (lead guitar), Josh Eppard (drums), and Zach Cooper (bass) — emerged in the early 2000s wedged between an emo renaissance and a metal revival. While their peers broke hearts and banged heads, they crafted Game of Thrones-level fantasies around their Amory Wars storyline, which unfurls across 78 planets known as Heaven’s Fence. Eight of the band’s albums thus far (plus a small galaxy of comics and novels) live in this space and so does The Father of Make Believe. It’s just that the sky is cracking, revealing the hand behind the scene. In the past, says Sanchez, “I’ve kept the struggles of my life private. When I can’t express myself in words, I express in worlds.” And yet, as he assumes the role of main character, Coheed are yet again finding new ways to bring us into their universe.

Coheed was awesome. Waited a long time to see them headline a show. And they did not disappoint. The venue was great. Never been to XL or the Southside Stage. It was a good crowd but there was still plenty of room to move around. I was worried about the sound with it being so close to the highway, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Parking was a bit limited partly cause of highway construction and the large crowd, but it wasn’t a bad walk in and out. They also had shuttle service if you need it. Good time all around.

The venue was intimate and a little kitschy I admit but in a very charming way. Very much firefly vibes. Coheed was fantastic as always. And I really enjoyed the opener Sheer Mag. The on-site booze was poured strong enough for my liking! I wish there was better service at the event but it also kinda added to the experience of being a little detached from the pulse of the world and whisked off to the worlds that Coheed creates. Great show to kick off the tour, boys! Ern runs these events like a well-oiled machine!!

This was my 3rd time seeing them and my significant other's second. She got these tickets as a birthday present for me back in April as well as the box set. I have to say it was an emotional night for both of us but the show was absolutely amazing. I really can't wait to see what the future holds for this band as I have been a fan since the first time I heard them when their second album came out. Can't wait to see guys again.

Coheed was amazing as always. Can't wait to see their next show! Venue was a little disorganized with where to line up for events and didn't really make sense, and they were disorganized and didn't seem to know where to tell people to go. Once inside venue was great and staff were really dedicated to their jobs. Possibly release the premium seats in the upper balcony that were not being used closer to the show for others to use. It was a lot of open seats.

I have countless hours over 5 years listening to the Boys. I have been to multiple Coheed tours. Last 5 years. I just want to say. This was the most Amazing show I've seen them put on. Maybe it was the small venue. Not the super Amphitheater I'm used. Maybe it was all the people we met. Maybe it was the company. No matter why it was. I am more of a complete person for having been at this show.

It was our third time seeing them and it was great to see them again. Unfortunately during the break before the encore, some idiot ran up on stage, jumped off and clotheslined another group of fans. One girl was hurt and removed via stretcher. Claudio came out and apologized for having to stop the show, but they were shaken up by the whole ordeal. Stinks that we didn't see The Liar's Club but I respect the band for their decision.

This may have only been my second Coheed and Cambria show but it was well worth the 3 hour drive!! The venue was great, the atmosphere was amazing! The band has this way of just making it feel like a huge family. In fact I kept hearing people say "Coheed family" all night! Thank you The Pageant, and thank you Coheed and Cambria for sharing your wonderful talent with the world and fans like me!

Bought tix when Fishbone were the opener, but was changed to Puddle’s Pity Party. His set played stage change music and it completely ruined the mood. Primus was great, Coheed and Cambria were great. Puddles has a great singing voice but no original songs. Even Primus had to play a cover for him to join on stage. Will be glad to buy tix for more shows, but not w PPP attached to open/play.

True professionals. It was an absolutely breathtaking performance, playing songs no one would expect after releasing a new album. They are masters of their craft and it shows in every facet of their live experience. The kicker was being outside, in cool weather, with a sound quality unmatched in my 20 years of experience. Inside the complex is absolute garbage sound, and these guys deserved to have the best, as they are the best

Decent show. Haven't really listened to a lot since In Keeping Secrets... so I wasn't familiar with a ton of the new stuff, but it was still a decent show. Not a huge fan of the layout of Kemba and how packed in tight it felt. As an aside, if a venue's going to have non-sloped, flat floors, they need to have zones based on height so us shortstacks can see the stage...
